new developments! (long?)

Ok. Sprung a major oil leak after owning my 02 for about 750 miles. As most of you know, turned out to be cam seals. I am only lighter in the wallett my $200 deductible, thanks to the extended warranty I purchased. After getting it back from the shop, my 3 idiot lights (susp.,abs,esp) appeared. Shop replaced brake light switch at n/c (cool)!! Am now having flickering headlight syndrome. It doesn't seem to happen all the time just an occasional blip, but now we are pretty much in Daylight Savings Time, and I drive to and from work in the dark over two mountain passes. Any ideas? Just wrapped the green goblin in WR's today!! We had a touch of snow early last week, that turned to ice. Unfortunately, someone found a patch of it Wed., hit a tanker truck, tanker caught on fire. 1 dead, 2 critical. Sorry for the downer, hopefully it will inspire some to slow down when conditions worsen. TIA for responses!

Have the shop check the headlight.....

....connections. They had to pull all that loose to do the cam seals. May not have got a connector fully seated.

Also, keep an eye out for more oil leaks. Since it started when it got cold it could be a plugged up vacuum booster (in the PCV system). If it was caused by the vacuum booster your leaks will return soon. Just something to keep in mind.

Has anyone got the part # for the vaccumm boost pump thingy...

I looked for it on the ETKA system at my local dealership and it wouldn't spit the number. The parts bloke called the haed mechanic in who said that it was a common problem with 2.7T but still couldn't get a number.

alternatively is there a cleaning/overhaul procedure that anyone has used. A little preventative maintenence can go a long way.
