Offroading in So Cal ???

Any suggestions on where I can go riding on dirt, some fun stuff?

Gorman -- about an hour north on the 5 Freeway exit gorman, go under the freeway couple of bucks....

to enter, tons of fun dirt roads, and gravel etc.

Hey LAAllroad... have you gone to Gorman/Hungry Valley???

I can't get a sense of whether or not it's capable of being "done" by an allroad. Most websites I've seen with reviews talk about large 4x4 trucks and having to pull each other out.

Any thoughts?

Not yet in my allroad, I have only been motorcycle riding out there but from what I saw there were plenty of more mild trails. It's worth a try, maybe we should check it out some time.

Try either the San Bernardino or San Jacinto mountain wilderness. Maps are available for backroads. Check a local book or wilderness store.

BTW, the only other allroad I've seen the last 7 months on the road or parked is one in La Jolla.

So Cal trip out to Gorman???

I would love to. My buddy with his Subary WRX is going to with me too. He wants to try out some dirt fireroad stuff, and if it gets too hairy, he'll just jump in my car and we'll hit the rougher stuff. We'll probably go next weekend if the weather ain't too bad. Can you join?
