RIP Paul.

I used to see him sitting in the bleachers at CART races timing the laps and taking notes for the Newman Haas team.

I set up come computer driving simulators for Rahal a couple times and the Newman Haas team was right next to them. I snapped a quick picture of him at lunch one day.

He was a great actor and a fine human being.

In the mid 70s I watched Newman race at BIR in MN

Tomorrow laps at BIR will bring back those memories of watching him. Funny story is one of the guys watching Newman race with me went to his garage area at the end of the day. Newman handed him an empty beer bottle. Gave it to his mother, bet she still has it.
