please help!
So my cross country trip home in my 2001 allroad 6MT got cut short in Twin Falls, ID.
Exhaust full of oil, suspected turbo blow-out.
My question is this.
Which shop would you recommend for turbo swap along I-84 towards Vancouver, BC?
Cities in question are Boise,ID Yakima, Seattle, Vancouver, BC.
Also if i'm not interested in increasing the vehicles' power but rather fuel economy/reliability should i put K03 or K04 turbos on it?
On that note who has the best deal on turbos right now?
I've left the car there yesterday and came to Vancouver tonight.
i'm considering taking a flatdeck trailer and to drive out for it tonight or would be cheaper to ship it?

I hear they are quite competitive and should have the parts on hand for a quick repair.
They may also recommend a nearby shop where they can ship the replacement parts if you can't drive it.
Personally I'd go with a larger turbo if price was nearly the same. I'm also big on fuel economy (oxymoron with allroads however) and a more efficient setup will yield better economy.
