Default Please help with Key programming

So i bought a 2004 AR.

It came with emergency keys only, no key less entry.

Called my dealer, quoted me about 350 for the keys (That come in from germany already cut) and another 200 bucks for the programming.

I checked the uncut keys on eBay and they go $24 apiece.
The locksmith says he can cut them all right for a minor pay.

Now for the programming part.

I was told that 2001 ARs have a programming DIY guide in the book (Still unsure), which of course one can do charge free.

The problem is i do not have the book, thus i don't know if key programming is possible for my AR (2004).

So if anyone could post a possible link to the programming of a 2004 ar 2,7, i would much appreciate that,.

thanks.

The skc code use to come on a plastic tab with the keys on some of these early 01 allroads. The dealer stopped doing this shortly after though. Then Audi went to a new system WIN2 where the tech could actually obtained these codes. Finally, a whole new system of talking with the ECU & cluster(immobilizer) was formed called GEKO. So now even the Audi techs don't get to see the secret logins codes. You're going to need the dealer for programming or a locksmith that can do it. You have to deal with the immobilizer in your cluster to adapt each key.

No problem. I hope this helped. Btw. Where are you located? I think that fee was only $150.00 a short time ago?
