Hi ar family . I'm trying to remove my factory radio and it is not comming out. I inserted the removal keys the right way, did this b4 with my A4, so I know the process. Facing the radio the left side moves out but the right side does not move and the top key keeps popping out. what can I do to get the radio out???????? Please help family.

Have you inquired over at NAVplus.us? That is where the "experts" are. When I did this on my car, you could feel the key pushing the catch, so if you are not feeling that, then it is not properly coming into contact with the mechanism. I know, I'm just stating the obvious, but it's a pretty simple mechanism. Did you try different keys? Use the keys that were working on the left side and see if you get any different result on the right side.

Default Local stereo shop helped me remove my headunit. The guy said that the top right clip is often

fuxxored. Didn't know why, but that's based on his experience.

Default I hope you are not using the keys to pull the headunit out...

...the radio keys, once inserted just unlock the headunit. You should pull from the cassette slot, works every time, and you get good leverage.

Default That is not correct! The keys lock in and are what you use to remove the radio. if you bias the

keys outward as you pull it may help disengage the hung lock. This will pull the lock tabs back further. Works on my rns-e & it hangs on the top right as well.

Default for the RNS-E, sure, since there is nothing else to grab, but for the SYM headunit...

...I've seen a few times where someone tried to pull using the keys and bent the locking clip. Many times, the SYM headunit's gasket is so tight that you need a bit of extra force to dis-engage the seal, and the keys do not allow for that extra leverage. Fingers in the cassette slot work every time for me...and I've pulled many many Audi head units for folks.
