spark plug ejection
just did a search and found another post on this. earlier this week i was driving home and suddenly suffered a drastic power loss on acceleration and developed extreme vibration with the least amount of throttle. limped home and dropped it off at the dealer first thing in the morning. it seems that a spark plug worked it's way loose and ripped the threads out as it was ejected and shattered. mechanic is attempting to helicoil. idf unsuccessful, a new head will be installed next week. i've never heard of such a thing and i'm wondering if doing a helicoil is advisable for this application, being under compression, ignition, and occasional removal and replacement. any thoughts out there?
