Default Suspension Problem

Anyone ever have a problem with the suspsension drooping if left alone for a couple of hours. If so, what caused it? I'm about to take it in, but I like to have as much information as I can...the dealer, while helpful, is not always all that well informed.

Default Mine would drop overnight in the rt front....

dealer tried replacing lines, valves, seals but none worked. They ended up replacing the strut assembly and that cured the problem.

Default I haven't had the problem, but remember a post/series of posts

by someone living on an island out east, the whole car would drop. A search could probably find more info.

Default Mine did...took it to stammler...it was the (more inside)

fact that the computer could not find the level. Not that it was a height thing, but it could not compare accurately...so it kept on lowering without pumping back up...and as I drove it, it went to the ground. They needed to reprogram the "foundation" leveling codes.

From the actual work order...

43169999 CONTROL POSITION WAS NOT LEARNED-READAPTED CONTROL UNIT

Hope that helps

cheers

Default My front-left air bag is leaking....

only at level 1, i.e. when the leaking position is bended.

Default Either faulty control unit or a leak

I've had some seals replaced to correct a tiny leak (front corner would drop overnight).

Also, had the suspension control unit replaced (one corner was constantly higher, opposing corner a bit lower)

Default thanks

Thanks all...sure enough after dropping twice yesterday it didn't drop overnight at the dealer. At least they gave me an Audi loaner. I'm sure this saga will continue for awhile...or at least it did for those who post on this board earlier

Leaky air bag most likely.

Default Update...didn't see this identical problem in a search

After getting a very polite...couldn't duplicate at the dealer, but a plan to get them to see it when it did happen. Parked it in level 1 (vice 2,3,and 4 like the dealer) and sure enough left front drops in about 40 minutes and could hear the leak. Went back (got that shocked look from the service guy). In the course of telling him it is tied to level 1...it dropped enough for him to see it. Anybody ever have this only happen when parked in level 1? I'll keep everyone posted as to the final solution.

Me. Spray the soap water all round the air struct, and find the leak.
