Default Update............................................ ....

A week or so back I was left in a situation with the dealer regarding my oil leak. Option A was take a refund of 250. Option B was apply what I have already spent ($575) and have the oil pan done at $1100. After a short talk with the advisor I found myself talking with the service manager who never returned my phone call. (Also had a talk with the GM and she said she would call me back and never did.)I decided the give myself option C. Car has been in 3 times, o-ring 250, oil return line 325, and now oil pan 1600, all in a months time.
Laid out the facts.........bla, bla, bla, then I told him that his service dept. SUCKS and that the tech who worked on my car SUCKS and could not be trusted. He just looks at me and then says "You are welcome to not return." Awesome!!!! And then he say's he will refund all my money ($575) and walks away. I feel great. Time for H-sports.

Default So is your oil leak fixed?

Your oil leak sounds like mine. Did it appear to be dripping where the return line mates with the oil pan?

I've been through numerous o-ring replacements. Dealer currently has the upper oil pan on order and will be replacing that next.

Regards,
Gavin

Default Wow... I can't believe that they would say such a thing...

but, I guess the truth hurts. At least they offered to refund the money, I would have taken that deal.

I would follow up with a letter to AOA and the management of the stealership. Mention names of the people responsible.

No. Im in the process of finding a good indy shop here. It's only a drop or 2 a day. Nothing major.

Default Yep, same here. Drip here and there since around 15k miles...

At least that's when I noticed it.

Appears to drip right where the return line meets the upper oil pan.

Replaced the seals multiple times with no go.

Dealer says it's the upper oil pan. They installing one as we speak (luckily all under warranty).

Hoepfully that is it. If it's not, only things remaining are the return line itself or possibly the turbo cartridge leaking...

Will keep you posted.

Regards,
Gavin
