Whacky door latch blues
whenever the temp drops below 0F, my door latches very oddly. They'll open fine but sometimes they won't latch back down when hitting the striker. The only way to get them straightened out is to either fiddle with them or put the car in the garage and let it warm up a bit. So far only the trunk latch and the driver's door are affected.
Anyone else having this problem.
Spry it on the latch and on the stricker, all your hinges, the sunroof rails. Whit Lithium works for all of these.
This happens to me at least once/winter and it's just plain stupid. No other car I've owned has had door latches freeze (sure the seals will freeze and stick, but the latch?).
