WTF??
We took our '03 AR in for some issues that we found after we purchased it. Mostly minor things like car pulled to the right and the car shuttered when braking, one tail light seemed brighter than the other and the back light on the dash for the head lights wasn't working.
I just spoke to the service director and he said that there seems to be an electrical issue and they can't seem to narrow it down. We asked what the problem was and he said the he did not know but they may have to fly an Audi tech out to investigate it if they cannot resolve it and that the car wasn't safe to drive. Okay, we just drove the car from where we bought it to our home, over 150 miles. What could be so life threatening?
What do you all think?

only know that because I did it myself last fall
That being said, you have a dealer who is wise and is calling in the big guns to fix it.
I would start the ball rolling to get a refund ASAP. Cal AoA, speak to customer care and spek to the man who OWNS this dealership.
By your oist I assume its used and you bought it from an Audi shop with CPO? If so then they did not inspect it very well and perhaps this is good and polite ammunition to uise with the owner.
If you're covered by warranty let Audi try to resolve the problems instead of getting in a pissing contest with everyone.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Good luck.

I write to you all because I am a little freaked out and need to know if this is a common issue.

Bringing Audi to Life for Audi Fans
From a dead start on sharp turns, i.e, from a stop light, it will rev to 7k before it shifts. So far it hasn't displayed a think regarding service. I am going to change fluid and filter next month. I'm fortunate i can do all my own work. It may take a month but being single and having 2 other vehicles that's not a problem.
In hind site I'd have done a least one of two things different. Bought and alroad with less than 50k or with a warranty. I'll probably sell this one in the next 24 months.
Work with the service manager and express your worries, a little humility will get you amazing results. Most of us service managers, regardless of the business, really don't enjoy having angst ridden customers.
Good luck
