I agree, lots of small differences, and for sure the Q8 is VERY similar. I wish I could take tax incentives into account... they have none for us here in Alberta!

I would say, that if your on the fence about if you like the looks of the Etron, I would suggest to not make a final decision until you see it in person.

To Me the Q8 hood line looks higher, and the windshield seems to come up at a higher angle and the etron back back is slopped at a higher angle. Also because of the battery it appears it sits lower, but the wheel arches seem to be of the same size.

It should be said that I aligned based on the rims of the car. But I dont know if these drawings had the exact same wheel size. Also, this is not done with great precision, so not everything can be 100% accurate, its meant to demonstrate "approx" overlaps and for the purpose of illustration of the differences should be accurate, but not to the exact scientific precision as having the true car files to work with....

At the end of the day, its subjective, but this is why I think the Q8 has a 'bigger' presence when you see them in person.

Blue is Q8 vs Black is Etron

Etron Alone

Q8 Alone

Looks Like Q8 has a longer snout, and trunk, greenhouse quite similar, redo the sketch lining the cars up at the windshield / A pillar

This is my attempt to attach the Photoshop file if you want to mess with it. I did a version to align the a pillar and windshield line, but then the wheels do not even come close to alignment. It felt that alignment from the ground and at least one wheel was the best way to show the differences. you can right click and save target, it will download the PSD layered picture, so you can move the two drawings around.

It would be nice to have accurate technical drawings, that would make it much easier. I did some briefing searching and this was the best I could find.

If that's the case that would be Sweet!
I know some provinces have them at the provincial level, but nothing for Alberta thus far...
IT would make my day if this happens in Alberta....
I'll watch out for this...

according to this article on Electrek.co
the Canadian's $5,000 incentive, to start on May 1st, is limited to MSRP of less than $45,000...

So the only Audi to make the list is the A3 etron....

so nothing to get excited about here as that MSRP cuts off well below anything I'm willing to buy right now, but it will help when I buy my kids car for university at least.

I was at the NY Auto show over the weekend, and I noticed, the Virtual cockpit of the Q8 is much smaller than the e-tron's. In the Q8, the Engine temp. gauge and Fuel gauge one the left and right ARE NOT VIRTUAL, but, are traditional gauges

For comparison, Q5: Length = 183.6", Width = 74.5", Height = 65.3", Wheelbase = 111"

It is most similar to Q8, just a tiny bit smaller, but visually hard to tell them apart. It does ride a bit lower, it's as tall as Q5 but the length is nearly as Q8. Anyway, from purely visual look & feel, it seemed the most similar to Q8, with Q5 a bit smaller, and Q3 noticeably smaller.
This all makes sense because originally, Audi was going to call this car Q6 eTron but at the last minute, it decided to go with just eTron. So naturally, you'd expect Q6 to fit between Q5 and Q8.
