I am surprised and disappointed in the removal of the heated steering wheel from the US version of the Cold Weather package. I researched that at the time I ordered and everything I saw indicated it was part of the Edition One spec.

It’s an important feature, and doubly so for EVs, where heating up the entire cabin to compensate is a terrible idea. Heated seats and steering wheel go a long way towards helping you extend your range in cold weather. Rookie move by Audi on that one.

Audi did the right thing by keeping the capacititive sensors on the steering wheal which meant no steering heat.

The user manual I read shows that it comes with a heated steering wheel. Can anyone with a Prestige confirm the existence of a heated steering wheel?

Turns out that it depends on whether you have the lane keeping assist feature. Can’t have both that and a heated steering wheel.

But the owner's manual doesn't say car comes with heated steering wheel but offers instructions on use (page 84) and says instructions: Applies to: vehicles with steering wheel heating. Not very definitive. Someone having taken delivery will report soon.

Wow! Great looking car. Turbine wheels too on E1. How did that happen. And no front plate. The Grey does seem to look nice in residential settings.

The front plate bracket is strictly a dealer install item. Factory puts the bracket in the car. You must alert your dealer that you do not want it installed - if that is the case.

Lexus dealer in Texas has you sign a waiver saying you asked to not have the front plate installed - probably more so to protect them from new owners receiving a no front plate ticket and then blaming dealer for not installing it. Crazy world we live in.
