Default Here is my setup

Here is my setup with both the Juicebox and OEM bracket. My NEMA 14-50 box is splash proof.

Here is another installation. I have a sub-panel in the room on the other side of the wall. It took a 21ft run of 6-3 with ground wire and a 50A circuit breaker to connect to the panel. My local electrician charged $250 for the job.

Is that a surface mount rated unit? NEMA 14-50 surface mount looks plasticy usually.

I hope it is ;-)

I trusted my electrician. The box he used is the Sigma Electric 2-Gang Gray Metal Weatherproof Exterior/Interior New Work Standard Square Interior/Exterior Electrical Box, Lowe's item #330678.

Sorry, I simply assumed the question was directed to me and answered it, since my picture was the last post prior to the question.

Should have been clearer. I'm in the process of installing my Juice box pro and have been debating the recessed vs surface install options. My existing EVSE are surface mounted and I'm not a big fan. I'm going to try and recess mount my new one.

The surface mount one looks like below.

One thing to consider.. the reason I got a splash proof cover is because, one time I was bleeding my brake system with the Motive Product pressure bleeder, and the tube burst ( when I was at the rear caliper) shooting a stream of oil 10 feet away. If the stream happens to hit an electrical outlet, the oil could drip between the plug and socket, and oil is highly conductive ..... need I say more?

Mile high, I used to work in lodo, at Adams mark (if your old enough) and at Jackson’s hole.
