AC Sync button missing?
Over the last week the sync button for the AC has disappeared. Has anyone else noticed this? Can this be customized to be added back? This is the button that syncs the driver and passenger ac temp and fan speed.

When you hit the 3 dots in the climate cluster, at the bottom, you should see a pop up menu appear. Push and hold the Sync button to return it to the preset settings. Alternatively, you can “pinch” your two fingers on the climate display to quickly sync the temps.

I noticed that if you hit "continue button" to select the user before turning on the car somehow brings the SYNC button back. I'd say it works 95% of the time. Definitely a software issue IMO.

Oh, didn't you know that is an "Apple like" "undocumented feature" Mine has been coming and going since Dec 21. I have had a software update that added range but did nothing for the absolutely terrible MMI.

I know this thread is old.. but I’m having the same issue. None of the above fixes work. I’ve had the sync button return temporarily return after a mmi reset, held power button for ~ 10 seconds; Came back, until I re-started car. Yes, I can get to sync by touching the three dots and accessing by top screen controls but it’s this kinda crap that infuriates me with this car. I lose radio favorites seems once a month. Saved destinations disappear…. And the stop/start is horrible. Tbh, in a year or two, this car is GONE!
Anyway, does anyone have any idea why it’s gone and how to fix it?

I have the same problems and my favorites are permanently grayed out. It's clear that Audi has walked away from this software and plans to do no more updates. They now know that their software development is really bad and a big problem for them and that's why they did the deal with Rivian. But frankly, and unfortunately, pretty much every car manufacturer is having major software problems. I know people with Dodge diesels that are having constant software problems with their vehicle. I'm not sure there's any escaping these problems. I had a Tesla rental for two months and had very major software problems with that car to the extent I had to pull off the highway. That has never happened with my e-tron,

I was told at Audi of Chattanooga Service that Audi has a noted TSB on the intermittent sync button failure to appear. I have also had the same gray out and loss of favorites. I have not discussed this issue with the Service dept.
