AUDI CONNECT PRIME/PLUS SUBSCRIPTION
ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION FOR AUDI CONNECT FOR HIGH SPEED INTERNET IS 499$.
WANTED TO SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE THINK ITS WORTH GOING WITH THE SUBSCRIPTION.
MY 6 MONTHS AUDI CONNECT IS EXPIRING SOON.
ANY ADVANTAGES FOR CONNECT PRIME OR PLUS.

Insanely overpriced! Tesla offers their Connect Prime plan for $10 a month. For $41 a month you get nothing from Audi - just Google maps overlay without any realtime charging station information. I find using my cell phone with Google maps, Apple maps and Waze a lot better than the Audi plan.

I have a 2019MY, so pricing with AT&T is a little different, but I have both Prime and Prime Plus. I looked at my wifi/phone plans and usage. In my case, when I am using my phone for data I am either at home (so use home wifi) or in the car. I found I could reduce my Verizon data plan to the bare bones and that came close to making up cost for the car Prime and Prime Plus unlimited plans, so I can use the car wifi when in the car. In addition to that, I get traffic light alerts, in car google maps, Amazon Alexa (which I use a lot for streaming music, so I have no need to use the finicky Android Auto--I use android.), traffic alerts in Navigation, and Amazon Music. My understanding is that the 2021MY does not have Amazon Alexa. I think that is the only difference between 2019 and 2021. If there is more than one of you in the car, of course, you can use the hotspot feature for all. It's been over a year, and in that time I find I barely touch the data through my phone plan.

I'm embarrassed to say I paid the renewal.
I'm not sure I will again though. It's just too much
I stream online radio with it to get AM stations, and I just don't like having features that don't work...the onboard map, etc.... I like having that stuff even if I don't really need it....
Android auto I find clunky and annoying
But I'll probably embrace Android Auto and spring for ODBEleven so that I can enable AM when the time comes...
I'm not sure I will again though. It's just too much

that has happened many times. I've not figured out a rhyme or a reason or a solution. most times it clears itself up fairly quickly but there has been a time or two it took a while.
Rebooting the MMI rarely seems to help.
My theory is bad cell data signal knocks it out and sometimes the thing just needs a cold hard reset.
