Camera View Weirdness
My rear view/360 camera only seems to activate about 50 % of the time when I shift into reverse and when it does it takes about 10-15 seconds to render the car animation in the 360 view or sometimes the car animation never renders. When the cameras don’t activate I still get the sensor view, just no camera image.
is there a trick to this or is something funky going on with my particular car. I am the second owner and I purchased at carmax so I have a 4 month warranty on the car. Car has 45k miles and seems well maintained, only real issue is with the rain sensor but I’m pretty sure that is due to a poor job installing a new windshield prior to my purchase that carmax is making right(I think it needs a new gel pack for the sensor)

I was kind of thinking it might have something to do with that. It does seem to happen most often when parallel parking or 3 point turns. One of my theory’s is that it happens if I shift into reverse without making a “full stop”.
When it happens if I shift into D than back to R it works fine or if I push the camera button off than back on.
more I think about it the more your theory fits, they did update the MMI after 2019 to one with more processing power

Edit - just because I remembered I had posted about it at the time, I can see this change happened with the 93M3 update; https://www.audiworld.com/forums/aud...#post25680107; and now that I think about it I did used to get either the sensor view or even sometimes just a black screen when shifting into reverse, not quite 50% of the time but with some frequency, but I can't remember the last time that's happened to me so maybe this (or some other) update did address that too
