Default Chargeport door/flap 2019 e-tron 55

Out of nowhere the flap on the charging port wouldn't close. I can gently push it both up an down. In "closed" position its a tiny gap, but it stays in place while driving. Both AC and DC charging is function, but the charge indicator lamp doesn't light up when charging. Not white, not orange and not pulsating green. I can see both in the app and on the instrument that charging is normal. This car also have a charging port on the right side (LHD car). Flap door in this side doesn't work either, but this one is properly closed. Beside that flap door doesn't automatically goes up & down, and charge indicator lamp doesn't light, the car runs like normal. No messages in the display while driving.

Yesterday I read the OBD codes, and deleted all. Then I took a drive and charged both with AC and DC charging, and read out codes again. It throws the following codes;

- U15C900
- B2F0400
- B2F0500
- U113900

I don't quite see which of the codes that is related to this problem? I have also checked the fuse for the charging ports, and relay 645 and 646 that I hear click when pushing the release button for the charging ports (both sides).
It`s also strange that the display don't throw a message of "open charge port" while driving? When I manually opens the flap, I hear the sound of the stepper motors that opens the dampers. Normaly this sound is to be heard when the charge cable is plugged in.
Have read a loots of threads regarding charge port, but have not found anyone with a similar issue. My experience is that the charge port sense that there are a plug in the charge port. I.e when you push the charge port button with a plug in, there is no response from the flap-motor.

Any one with similar experience?

Haven't had that exact issue but a variety of others. The team who worked on this design need a good slap. It's awful in so many ways, especially if exposed to the elements at all, and it's all so unnecessary - just classic Audi over-designing.

Ugh, so I should leave my Audi plugged in when it rains or snows then? I haven't owned mine for long but I've never thought about the weather before plugging it in. My previous PHEV never had issues with the plug (manual door), in rain and snow.

Snow or rain in isolation is in my experience not an issue (after soon six years). There is some challenges when you have rain or very wet snow that later freezes over while plugged in. For the European market (type 2 plug), Audi provides a rubber cover to put on the plug. This cap makes it very unlikely for any water to get into the charge port connector itself - thus avoiding that it freezes stuck. I'm not sure if they have something similar for the type-1 plug.
https://audi-shop.com/de/en/p/antifr.../AU-85H054410/ (also works fine with most other cars, as long as there is a flat surface around the charge connector).

One bad design detail that annoys me is that when you use the charge flap button to release the cable, there is no visual indication when the cable is actually unlocked. The charge port status light changes immediately. Only by listening carefully, you will hear when the locking pin is done retracting (1-2 seconds later). Any attempt to even slightly pull/unplug the cable before that, will cause wear and premature failure of the locking mechanism. While not that many read the manual, it is not even mentioned there.

U113900 might be the most important one here, which afaik is loss of communication. Is that listed as an intermittent or permanent error? I think that would explain all your symptoms.

The 2nd flap will not open until the primary flap is confirmed closed. Thus if the failure was on the other side, you would only have access to AC charging. There is unfortunately no indication inside the car if the flap is open when driving, also on a fully functioning system. I once had the lower DC port cover not flip up as it should, blocking the flap from fully closing. I did not notice until I was at the next charging station 300 km later - fortunately in dry summer weather. It did although prove that flap can survive being open even at autobahn speeds. But no indication inside the car.
