EA transaction stuck in app

Default EA transaction stuck in app

I am in the middle of a 2000 mile road trip and the very first transaction is still stuck in the app as processing. Which means that I cannot start another transaction with my app. So I have to call EA Customer Service at every charge to commence charging.

EA CS is excellent as always but did offer the useless suggestion of "if I just used Plug and Charge" the transaction would not require the app.

I could pay with a credit card but then the transactions would cost twice as much.

Try clearing the app data and cache.

I tried a forced stop. Logged out and back in. So far everytime the app restarts the old transaction restarts.

Had this happen to me yesterday. EA tried two different methods to clear the active transaction but were unable to do so. I had to have them do a remote start for me. Luckily it was my last charge of the trip. Just checked my app, and now almost 24 hours later the transaction is STILL ACTIVE. They really need to get their act together.

Ditto. Discovered that they had (2) email addresses for me - the second one was not mine and appeared as something that someone was trying to use to hack into my account. I suggested that EA be notified that their system is possibly being hacked into. Between their "new upgraded" equipment and their app, it has been absolutely a nightmare trying to get a charge without spending another 30 minutes or so at least trying to fix it...if even that sometimes.

So frustrating, But then again, it is owned by VW Group !

I have gotten Tap-to-pay to work finally on my last charge stop. That eliminates a 15 minute CSR call to get the session started.

By the way, as an e-tron owner I love charge by the minute. Thank you Tennessee!

Issues like this and the video out of spec just published (where the EA BRAND NEW chargers don't work in the cold) are pushing me to get a Tesla just for the supercharger network. Theoretically, Tesla is opening up their network but they recently "open sourced" their proprietary charger, so maybe they won't be opening up their network to CCS anymore...

Tesla drivers were apapleptic when we were driving through Memphis yesterday, it was below freezing and the entire Supercharger was out of commission. Those with adapters headed to EA.

With this problem, if your app works you are fine. Unfortunately my app is still down.

I am having luck with Tap-to-pay on the units with NFC readers that work.

Tesla driver who was routed to EA by Tesla software. Arrived with seven miles range and has no adapter.

Superchargers have different rates across the country and can use different rates depending on the time of day. From what I have read, it seems EA has a lower rate in many scenarios. But since I never owned a Tesla, I only have secondhand knowledge.
