map update on etron
hello,
I saw some post about downloading map updates on a PC and using USB to upload to the car. Is it possible in etron? If so, can someone please tell me how?

This depends on where you live. In Europe and some other markets, you can download the maps from myAudi, copy them to an SD card, and then update them in the MMI. In the US, Audi took down the download site. They promised in one of their TSB to put it back up. But that has not happened even after a couple of years as far as I know.

Myaudi web page is even less useful than before.
Firefox/Fedora, all I can get is an infinite loop of "About myAudi" asking me to log in.
Firefox/windows, I get even less, "not found". Thanks.
Firefox/android, username isn't found. Wow.
Web/Fedora, seems to work. Only useful page is signing up for "Connect PRIME and Connect PLUS plans".
Oh, and my app tells me the car is charging "another 25 minutes to 25%" and is at 96%. The 96% I hope is correct, as we are taking a long trip today, with one charge stop.
Audi, you want me to pay for this? Really??

Same here in myAudi US. The whole page after logging in is just a neutered sales brochure for Audi Connect services. The only thing on the page that suggests it even knows who I am is that my e-tron's VIN is shown next to the car at the top of the page. But otherwise there's absolutely nothing useful there.

It can't possibly be that you must have an active Connect PRIME subscription to get map updates, right? They wouldn't be so money-grubbing to hide map updates behind a paywall, right? Right?

Thanks, seems Audi has disconnected this part from the main my.audiusa.com page. That said, this page doesn't have anything about map updates either. It just shows both of my expired trial subscriptions for Connect PRIME and Connect PLUS.
It can't possibly be that you must have an active Connect PRIME subscription to get map updates, right? They wouldn't be so money-grubbing to hide map updates behind a paywall, right? Right?
