Has anyone else experienced this issue? It's happening daily after a recent map update. The only way to get the MMI to work is to reset. Software version 3385.
My e-tron was just at the dealer four weeks. Sigh.
If you don't effectively do it already, you might try a full reboot on the car. Start the car and roll up all the windows, stop the car, get out and lock the car. Keep all fobs away from the car and do not use the MyAudi app. Wait for at least one hour before restarting.

Thanks for the suggestion. This is the ritual when the vehicle sits overnight. Then the next day, the issue presents itself again.
I was thinking tomorrow when it happens again, just letting the car sit as long as it takes, and see if the screen clears on it's own. I've only ever waited ten minutes before giving up and rebooting the MMI.

If that full reboot doesn't fix it, maybe there was a software "burp" during the update. That might require a Factory Reset of the vehicle to clear out the glitch. I think the Dealer can do a Factory Reset that will not lose all of your settings.

Try resetting the MMI by pressing and holding the volume ****.
Thanks for the suggestion. That and an engineering menu reboot have not worked.
I just had good luck after it sat for an hour while I had they keys on the opposite side of the house after another engineering menu reboot. We'll see!

So, I left all e-tron keys on the opposite side of my house as the garage last night. The e-tron booted up fine today.
Thank you for this suggestion. Turns out my usual spot for keys is too close to the vehicle.
I have had this screen get stuck than once and I have been able to duplicate it, which I don't recommend. Here's causes it for me: Start the car. press Continue in the MMI to trigger the "Loading the system. Please wait..." screen and then immediately (while it still says it's loading) shift to reverse to activate the rear camera screen. When the rear view screen disappears, the "Loading" screen is almost always still there, stuck just as you described.
A hard reset makes it go away for that driving session, but it comes back again if you shut down and re-start within the ~2 hour short term memory window. Only shutting down for 2 hours or more resolves it for me.
