Plug-type education
I've been lurking here for a while, after being interested in the Etron since before launch. I drove one last week, and I'm smitten. I've not owned an EV before, but this one may draw me out of my M3. I need an SUV for utility anyway. I've spent a lot of time here and in general googling to try and educate myself for a possible change in driving lifestyle. I cannot for the life of me find a primer on compatible plug types. I know the E-tron uses CCS type 2. I see Mennekes used for this plug too. But when I look up charging stations along a 300 mile (round trip) drive I take most weekends I see J1772/comination plugs that look like they won't fit. I was able to find adapters, but is that right? Can we use EVgo charging stations that have J1772combo plugs for DC fast charging? I know the home level 2 charger use the top part only, but is that J1772 for something like a juicebox?
I know its a newb question. Go easy on me. Much obliged.
