Question about "Light Function Package"
I heard that for the Audi E-tron there is a Function on demand called "Light Function Package" which costs $260. I think the feature of this package is to unlock the matrix lights to light lateraly to the direction of turning. Does anyone knows if there is a way to tell if my car has already equipped with this light function package? I just recently got a used e-tron, I am not sure if my car already has it. Plus: I do not see any button in the Myaudi app to purchase this package, I guess this is a purchase through dealers?

Via FOD (Function on Demand) there are a few packages - 2 around lighting.
The first is Matrix Package
This unlocks matrix lights and dynamic indicators (sweeping indicator lights)
The second is the Light Function Pack
This one enables the cornering lighting along with animations for the tailbar light when you lock/unlock.
In theory, both along SHOULD appear in your FOD / Audi functions store in your my audi app however this is where it gets frustrating.
If you see nothing at all, you will most likely need to go into Audi for a software update. I am basing this on my own experience whereby Audi Digital Services were useless!
Once the update is complete, Matrix appeared on mine along with Audi connect (licencing for the digital MMI side of things), and Audi Connect Key as mine is specced with it.
BUT light function pack did NOT show up.
I went back and forth with Audi for almost 2 years in trying to get this resolved and in the end, everyone gave up concluding while the car does have the hardware, the package cannot be made visible/activated.
Been trying to find another way around it given it is just coding but to date, failed.
Hope this helps!
1. They know what you're on about and will do it for free
2. They know what you're on about and will do it for an hours labour (£100+?)
3. They have no idea what you're on about and stop there
4. They have no idea what you're on about and work with Digital Services to get it working.
In most cases, I believe it is option 3. It took a LONG time for me to get anything concrete sorted by Digital Services and Audi - the two just don't talk.
Have you called Audi Digital Services in the first instance? They need to be aware and have a ticket raised before anything.
Things might have changed a bit and they could potentially just tick a box on their end (unlikely!) but it is worth a go either way and probably mandatory before Audi even get involved.
