Default I don't understand.

RS2 (or something other than stock) is needed for valve health.

Default Dude ^^^ get ready to put your flame suit on!

Unless your Boosted Q it's generally accepted, no let me rephrase that, it's MANDATORY to either go Rs2 Ex mani or tubular for those kinda numbers your talking about.

I suggest refining your upgrade path if you are not in a position to purchase the ex mani.

Default After reading the posts below, I'd advise you to rethink your goals.

Comments about not wanting to buy an upgraded manifold or injectors lead me to believe that you are on a budget for this project. Sadly, budgets and S-cars do not mix well.

It's smart of you to lay out a plan before plunging in, but if you really are looking for 350 hp, start thinking about brakes too. Maybe you should start with the brakes, then added the turbo stuff when you can afford it. Trying to cut corners on modding one of these cars leads to re-doing things over and over again. Planning only how to make the car go faster but not planning on how to stop or turn it leads to other disasters.

Heh. That's just plain cruel...but, OTOH, there is the interest of science to consider.

Default There's enough information in here and on the web that warns others to not take that path.

Enough for us to not have to seem like we are the bad guys telling people that there's no free lunches because we like to spend money.

I give one warning, from now on that's all I'll give. Boneheads learn best at the School of the Hard Knocks.

Default

is there any actual evidence against the manifold or only theoretical evidence supporting it

Default the 034EFI site is misleading when they say these turbos will bolt onto stock manifold

giving the impression that the stock manifold is adequate for the turbo upgrade.

however, when people on this site are recommending you to spend another grand on a header, it is meant to save you lots of money and time without your car in the long run, and aswell they are encouraging you not to take your life or the safety of the car for granted by upgrading the brakes before blowing your wad on 300awhp first.

but then again it was stated that a larger turbo can be run on stock manifold if you carefully watch your EGTs. and IA or MTM software will run the turbo with stock injectors, but just not as optimally as you would like, but assuming over 300hp at the crank

I am in the same boat as you, been floating a couple years. wanna go fast but wanna pay for college, graduation is going to yield lots of goodies

Default LOL ok guys

I got it, stock manifold is not sufficient.

I understand the dynamics of building a car, but am seeking experienced users for suggestions on a formula for 300-350hp.

So perhaps a better plan of attack would be

RS2/Garrett Replica turbo
RS2 EM
WG Spring
Racetronix 37 injectors
MTM/or whatever compatible software

Leave the 3" DP and Exhaust for later.

Thanks for the help I do appreciate it.

Quick Reply: AAN 20v + RS2/Garrett turbo + WG spring + 3" DP = what software?
