DIY pressure bleeder.....a totally stolen idea : )
a power bleeder is one of my favorite tools. after borrowing kday's a couple times, i finally bought my own.
Moisture in the air.
Bleeding too much fluid will empty the reservoir and then you'll be pushing air through your lines...
But, to me, it's worth it. Less mess, no messy brake fluid spills, and it's very quick to set up.
My thoughts on this are: "If you're not on top of your game, maybe someone else should be working on your car."
Yeah I think I will do that with the clutch since it's not that much fluid. But if I were to do the whole hydraulic system, I think I would use hydraulic pressure and maybe finish off with air pressure. That is partially why I left the valve in there. You can just stop pressure and finish flushing the system. If you need more just open it up for a second. I am excited to try it on Friday. I'll take more pictures of the job.
I was thinking tonight that the pump could also be used to pressurize the cooling system to find leaks. I remember seeing that in the shop manual. I have a spare coolant cap that I am going to throw a nipple on to.
