there are 4 bulbs in the climate control, they are 2 watt bulbs, pop off wood trim around
CC from the left side of unit w/ a knife or flat head driver, it pops straight off, remove CC unit, bulbs are right there

They can be replaced the same way as the heated seat bulbs...
...by soldering. That switch itself is a bit of a pain to take apart also. You also need to pop the wood off to get to the bolt holding it on also.

Some but not all lights don't work, right?
If they all didn't work, then that would point in a non-bulb direction (fuse, dimmer pot, etc.). If some work and some don't, especially if some bulbs in the CC work and other bulbs in the CC don't, then it probably is just a coincidence that multiple bulbs are failing. Maybe exacerbated by temperature stress, age (upward slope of the bathtub curve?), etc.
