Opinions Please: Is this Samco hose usable?

I sold this Samco hose to a guy and he's saying that it is not usable and wants a discount. I want to be fair but I personally don't think that he'll have an issue with it so I'm asking the community what they think.
The picture is of the intercooler end of the tb/intercooler hose. I used this on my RS2 & gt2871 setups without any problems. The current owner believes that he will need to cut the end from it and use a steel spacer with an extra set of clamps. The threads are clearly visible but I believe they would be either behind the clamp or under it, either case I never thought it would be an issue.
Please let me know what you think. I'm all for being fair but I think that the buyer got quite a deal regardless. $125 shipped for the 3 hose set, one of each color (it's a long story of how I ended up with 3 colors). I offered to refund all of his money if he returned the hoses but he would rather have a discount. If the consensus is that the hose is not fine the way it is then I'll send him some cash.

I'd be a little upset if I recieved that with out your disclosure first
As it may work fine for now but the life of it could be a lot shorter.
But your price was pretty good (I know I was next in line to get them) maybe offer him a few buxs back. There are 2 of those hoses on AF ranging from 40-80 dollars.
Note it looks like some one used a screw driver to take it off, not good practice IMO. My brother inlaw (saab tech, ford master mechanic) turn me on to a trick. Use a large pick (cheap harbor freight one) that has an 1 or more nose on it and stick that in between the hose and metal tube, circle the tube as much as possible to break the bond and the hose should come off no problem..
