Default Down on the oil pump IIRC. You need to remove the belly pan. Its not to far from the oil filter but

on the oil pump. I am surprized that Bentley doesn't show it on the oil pump location diagram.

035 919 521B, ref: KATE (what a good girl), A10Q, MG 9 (electrical) SG 19, Ill. 919-65, List Item 20.

Also on MG 1 SG 15 Ill. 115-30, Item 6 = plug for AAR (2.3 L 10v NA we didn't get in North America) pressure relief valve BUT for AAN No. 6 = 035 919 521B oil temp sender for gauge.

Come on Brian, get with the program.

Default It was a tought day when we taught AAN oil pump 101.

Sorry Brian. It was just there.

You know that I'm only kidding, right?

I just have a lot of info at my finger tips and my memory is still working.

SO far. So far.

Default Ah, now I see. Must be difference in year model - Bentley calls it a "Pressure relief valve", but...

then if I read below, it describes it as "Threaded plug with engine oil temperature sensor for oil temperature gauge."
I didn't notice it on the diagram until I read your reply. It's drawn like a bolt with a sleeve or something.
On the left side of the block the diagram has one called "oil pressure switch (white)", which has a single electrical connection, and anohter one called "Engine oil pressure sensor." Mine is missing the Engine oil pressure sensor. In place of it is a steel allen head plug. I guess now I know where I can connect a pressure sensor/gauge if I ever wanted one. ;-)

Thanks for the reply. ...It will be nice to see that temp gauge actually do something...that is if I can fix it.

Default The S6s did not get an oil pressure sender but I think they got a oil temp sender. You can't be enti

rely wrong about the pressure relief valve part of the equation. From the looks of that "exploded" oil pump, the temp sender looks like it has two functions, one holding the pressure relief valve and spring in place and two, providing a temp signal to the instrument cluster.
