Who has the best price on Bosch fuel pumps?
#22
In theory they should all be able to do RS2 levels. However, in practise, to be safe, going to a
60 mm Bosch 005, 040 or 044 will take away any concerns about lack of fuel delivery at high boost levels, i.e. 26 to 29 psi (depending on "RS2" software being used).
I am running a Bosch 43 mm pump right now but even with it relayed, there is still some fuel related pinging at high boost levels. This could be the result of a fuel line that the dealer may have kinked during the "KY" recall. (Or not).
I will be going to a 60 mm pump in the spring.

I have only 1 gripe about GenuineAudiparts.com....
When i was living in San Diego i discovered that this is actually the parts counter (some weird side business they are running) at Miramar Audi www.miramaraudi.com.
I called and requested a will call for an order and they WOULD NOT let me pick it up! Hence, could not save money on shipping. But, I lived 2 miles from them!!! WEAK!
Very disappointing for me, but hey great for you guys =)

Check out this 040 pricing from jayracing.com
Not bad pricing. The 044 is only $225. So is there anyone who sells JUST the install kit needed for our cars?<ul><li><a href="http://www.jayracing.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_5& ;products_id=11">Bosch 040 fuel pump</a></li></ul>

Just talked to the guy, they are genuine Bosch 044 pumps for $200 on sale with a 1 year warranty.
034 has the install kits for $145, so it would only be $345 + shipping costs for the whole shebang. Not bad.

Riverside Audi in the NY/NJ area does the same thing. They have a parts dept that sells
genuine Audi parts at 20% over their cost (but only to AW members). I've priced them against genuineaudiparts.com and they have the exact same prices on parts, down to the penny. The good thing is that they will allow us to pick up the parts in person to save on shipping costs (I only live 10 miles away). If you're on the east coast, it's a great alternative to genuineaudiparts as shipping is usually less money and delivery is quicker.

3rd op like that is "audipartssuperstore" which is Prime in MA - the former Clair parts operation.
who DO let you come by and pick stuff up, although their prices don't seem as good as they were back in the Clair days.
