I'm thinking 205s. The allowable rim width for 205 is 5.5 to 7.5 inches, measured rim width is 6.5.

Agree with 4driver4
Narrower is better for snow, cheaper to buy. Since you have AWD narrower won't really matter that much but...if you can get a good deal on one over the other go with it. The difference between the two is not much.

I'm running 205/55/16 Nokian WR V-XL on 16x6 ET42 B5 Passat steelies
They work fine but next time I'm going to try 225/50/16 due to dry weather handling and braking issues. At the ACNA Ice Trials, the Nokian RSi had a very definite edge over Nokian WR's. They were about a minute faster on the 2 mile road course (carved out of a frozen lake). :O The WRs are however, good enough for me for everyday driving. Compared to my Yokohama Avid V4S tires, driving on the WRs in the snow is like driving on dry pavement.
Winter 2007/8 I should have 16x8 Fuchs for winters due to brake clearance issues. I'm on stock brakes for now...
