Default Nine consecutive errors on car start -help!

My Q6 Sportback is less than 2 weeks old. On start the other day it lit up like a Christmas tree with errors. See attached 3 images with 3 errors each page. Digital help says to make a service appointment but I wonder if anyone else has seen this and what the outcome was.

BTW, the next day, zero errors. Very worrisome.

Well, not this error, but when in 2019 I got my e tron Quattro, I was backing out of a parking space and suddenly about every possible safety/assist error known started scrolling by. All the errors ended up being due to a failure of a single module: the "steering wheel module"--it had stopped providing steering wheel position data to other modules. Your errors, for example, could pretty much be attributed to a failure of the windshield camera in the rearview mirror. I think that is the one that handles traffic sign recognition.

BocaGuy,

I get these nearly every morning....I think it has something to do with low sun angle or early morning dew on the exterior sensors.

I no longer get concerned...just amused.

Between car companies selling incomplete technology and lawyers ...we will continue to see these.

Hoping that someone at some car company figures out that a great design and marketing approach to differentiate their car company would be just a simple tag line "Just Drive". Design the interior dash with minimal screens and excellent tactile buttons and switches. Advertise this as a car for those who like to drive their car and not the other way around.

Really? You ignore these?

I admit that the car still seems to drive fine even with all these errors lit up. But this is one "feature" I don't think I'm willing to laugh off.

Thanks for the input. I'll report back after my service visit.

They always go away about 2 or 3 blocks into my morning drive.
They seem to be associated with low sun angle and damp sensors.
So...I've moved from concerned, to annoyed, to amused.
This is the crap you get when you buy a car that wants to drive you but really is not very good at it.
I prefer to drive for myself.
Best of luck,

I had something similar to this issue, but with different error messages. It had some of the driver assist messages, but also had messages regarding high voltage battery errors. I took it into the dealer and the issue was a loose connector in the wiring harness which was triggering all sorts of errors.

This may or may not be your issue - given all the errors are driver assistance-related, I wonder whether it's something with the sensors as others have suggested. But just adding the wiring harness issue as a data point in case helpful.

Thanks. I used to be in the wiring harness business and I'm glad you car is fixed even though a loose connector is dangerous and unforgivable IMO. Audi and Porsche took an extra couple of years to get this vehicle shipped and there seems to be an awful lot of people on the forums with significant initial quality issues.

And I'm one of them. My radio goes silent regularly as well. I just hope I'm not in for a roller coaster ride.

My car was in service for 3 days and the factory thinks it is the camera in the rear view mirror triggering all these safety system failures. Unfortunately the part is on backorder so this adds insult to injury. And they gave me the car back rather than a loaner. I'm driving it very carefully.

I'm surprised they gave it back to you if is impacting safety issues. You should get a letter from the Dealer that states that the car in it's current condition is safe to drive.

I'm now at 77 days of ownership and they have attempted to repair the car 5 times including new front camera, multiple resets, replacement ECU in the rear of the car (a major dismantle) and a custom software update. Nothing worked. The car is still at the dealer and I have a buyback request pending.

Before buying a Q6 I suggest reading all of the problems people are encountering. I so regret buying one.

Read the post titled “Big KD2 SW Update Arriving” on this forum. That software update may address your issues, it’s been promised for several months and it looks like it’s finally out. Ask your dealer about it.
