Alignment Issues
So rather than repeat what is not working, I took the car to a high quality 3rd party Audi specialist for yet another alignment. Both rears were out of tolerance as well as the right front. Further, the tech, who had been a shop foreman at the local Audi dealer before working here, noted that the ride height was 15mm off. (trying to get more details on this as we speak). He also stated that it took two guys really pulling on the suspension to get things re-aligned properly and it was a non-trivial deal. He explained that there is a two step process to an alignment that requires calibrating/setting the ride height with a scan tool, as well as doing the physical caster/camber adjustments, and that if they did not do this at the dealer, it may have been part of the issue. Unfortunately at the 3rd party shop, they did not have a scanner for an SQ8 (on order) to do the ride height adjustment/calibration. Now, I guess I'm forced back to Audi...
Seems like we've opened Pandora's box on adjustments with this complex system... anyone else running into this kind of issue?
my alignment is off since day 1, my car went thru 3 alignment and finally got it right after i did some adjustment myself.
