Annoying cruise control decrease when curved roads
Anyone else find it annoying that their cruise control automatically decreases speed when it detects curved roads? Mine shows a wavy ≈≈ graphic above the cruse control / lane sensing icon. I mean, if safety requires going slower wouldn’t the highly conservative highway safety reduce the speed limit? Moreover, I have the RS package and should be able to take the curves at way, way faster than I have the cruise control set for. It’s annoying to me and must be for cars behind me, too.

Yet another characteristic of adaptive cruise control that shows it is not ready for prime time. We've had our Q8 for two years and I still prefer the non ACC of my BMW. Fortunately someone on this forum found the path to shut off the speed limit sign reading function. That went a long way to improving the experience, but we still experience slow downs/active braking situations that are false alarms. I wish Audi would let us disable ACC and just go with traditional cruise control.

I love ACC but not the predictive curve slow down part of the system, that's what I would like to be able to switch off. I have this issue on my Q7, but ACC on the S8 without traffic sign recognition works perfectly.

In my 2019 Q8 you can turn off the "adjustment to curves on the road" part of adaptive cruise control in the vehicle settings. MMI > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Settings > Adaptive Cruise Assist > Predictive Control > Disable adjust to curves along route option. I found it annoying as well so i have it disabled
