Default Console settings wonky?

I altered the lower panel air conditioning panel so that instead of the off button on the lower middle part I put the rear synchro button. Seems to stay for a few days and then randomly reverts back to having the off button there. I can’t figure out what if anything I am doing to make it Lose the setting. I have saved it as my memory setting. Is anyone else experiencing this loss of consul settings?

So the assigning part works great. But for some reason it reverts back to default position after random amounts of time. Thought Maybe it had something to do with storing the settings and the seat memory position. But that doesn’t seem to have anything to do with it. Some days I get in the car and turn it on and it’s the new position. And then the next day I’ll turn it on and it’s back to saying off in that position

I don’t have a solution but I’ve read numerous posts here about favorites disappearing and custom buttons reverting. Seems to be a common gremlin.

Guys, read your owner's manual. Everything is there:

PS. Seems that Tim was faster than me
If the shortcuts settings disappear ask your dealer for software update. Problem known for Audi

Hey,

So I can't get the custom settings to stick either. Has anyone taken the car into the dealer for this issue?

Not sure how to fix the disappearing custom buttons, but is anyone wants the sync feature, you don't need to add a shortcut to that button, just pinching in on the lower screen initiates the sync feature.
