Audi R8 V10 Deposit Recommendations?

Thank you! I was going to work with Pacific Audi near me but glad I didn't pull the trigger. I heard a few horror stories about them and there markup when the car arrives and that has left a bad taste in my mouth. I'll wrap up my research and will definately pull the trigger within the week.

Lack of power? Only if you want a quarter mile car.... otherwise that's a load of crap!
I can't imagine needing more power in a streetable sports car. There's virtually nowhere besides a drag strip where one would need more power! After tracking the R8 and driving the twistys around my neck of the woods, I imagine only in the hands of a Michael Schumacher could one find a way to safely put down all the power available from the current R8. The car has such a high threshold, that a race track is the only place safe enough to explore the limits. If you want to drive a 2 mile or larger oval , perhaps you'll need that extra power.

I am being told...
that the v10 option on the R8 is going to be built for production year 2009 which is to say that it should be starting somewhere around January of 2009. This is what I have been told by one of my trainers and a person in Mich. from AoA.
We are taking deposits and have three or so on the books as we would rather have the Accounting Nightmare than the Customer service nightmare when the sales team decides to skip someone in line. This way we can refer to our accounting records and track it more thoroughly. Better to have too much than not enough...

We have R8 V10 pricing already
Local dealer in Australia has a list price and is taking deposits for delivery next year for the V10. Due to our stupid high buy price we dont have any allocation issues here and wait is only (?) one year.
Oh and about the power, the V8 is ok but I was hoping it was faster than my lowly & lightly modified Cayman S but not, its the same.
The stick position in the Porsche and the steering is much better than the R8, but the R8 is such Eye Candy!
The V10 will be interesting.
