"what kind of Porsc...uh...BM...uh...Ferra... Wait thats and AUDI??" Then after looking at the side of the car for nearly a minute, actually notices the engine in the back and is speechless.

Always amazed how many people have absolutely no idea what and R8 is.

I've had a lot of people ask what it was. A kid and his mom stopped me to take pictures of it today.

When I brought it to my insurance agent, even she had no idea what it was. She was in awe of it.

went to dinner a few weeks back

valet asked me to parallel park it in front (between a new M3 and a 997 Turbo Cabrio) and they offered us a table from which we could see the car (and reactions) while we ate.

it was like the other cars didn't exist.

too bad i wasn't able to see the bimmer's driver's face when he left. the porsche driver almost hit the car behind him while trying to pull out as he stared at my car.

it is great to have this car. but it is even more great when you know that you are a loyal audi enthusiast- because the ownership experience rewards you so much more and you know there is substance behind it.

i am trying very hard to not become an attention ***** when i drive this car. but it's not easy.

just had a seamless install of a LPP system and the V1 is hardwired. i feel like james bond.
