Just a teaser... R8 software development from Revo Technik.
Initial numbers are 8whp and 20wtq on 93 octane fuel... greatly improved throttle response, speed limit removal, and the flexibility to adjust your tune to run any octane level you wish.

Wow, that was informative ... Not.
There's nothing more uninformative than a car running on a dyno with no subsequent plots.
Given that the R8 and the RS4 engines are nearly identical, it will be interesting to see if the REVO software has as many problems as it does on the RS4.

I posted this *teaser* here to give you guys something cool to look at.
It is in no way supposed to be an informative post... as the software is still in development and I do not have publishable numbers yet.
I apologize if this is not the sort of thing to post here.
As for the "problems" on the RS4, only 1 car has exhibited problems with a very early beta version. Those problems have been corrected and the software is now available from your local dealer and running flawlessly:

When you are at the leading edge of product development, bugs and issues are inevitable and get worked out before the final release, as is the case with any type of product development.

i can tell you one thing.
i'm not doing any sort of performance mod on my car whatsoever. this car is perfectly done. and feels so perfect that i would have to have overwhelming confidence that modifying any of its components won't cause any problems.
i think the tuners are going to have a tough time with bombproof mods before a year from now.
and even if any come out, i wouldn't touch ANY of them until a few more ballsy owners do it themselves and make it public that their cars ran smoothly.

Frankly, I don't remember. I sold the car a long time ago. I do know, that with the software, and exhaust, it was much more aggressive! The work was done at FarnbacherLoles in CT. They did dyno the car, I just have a lot of cars, and don't really care about dyno stuff...other than you need to tune on one.
