Congratulations to all of you who own/are waiting on an R8. Simply amazing vehicle, and I didn't even leave the garage!
V8 sounded a lot more aggressive than I thought it would (it coughed (back-fired?) a few times as revs came down). Just awesome...

it is amazing! revs so freely and the sound is intoxicating
I've owned Ferraris, Porsches, a Lambo, Cobra, Lotus, etc., etc. and this just owns them all. It's like a 911 GT3RS that is AWD and my wife can drive it easily. Did I mention that it's comfortable and roomy (I'm tall) and it's not fragile like a Ferrari (I once broke the the door pull out of my Ferrari and when I pulled the door panel I found an italian postcard in the bottom of the door!). The "character" of the italian cars gets old after a few $5k trips to the stealer. Try getting a grouchy FNA to do warranty work!! Audi has absolutely beat the italians - no contest, the R8 is the BEST sportscar ever made.....no comparison...and I've owned 'em all.
