Adding a sub to stock stereo
What is the easiest way to get the stereo to put out rear L&R RCA's to wire to an amp? I have heard some people connecting via the rear speakers, but does the back of the stereo already have RCA's? I haven't pulled out the radio to look at the back yet, so just curious on other's ideas for wiring.

There is NO RCA at the back of the Stock Stereo. The pre-amp out is just a set of wire that runs out of the deck to the amp located at the speakers. You can wire-up a Set of RCA, but that would only be useful if you are adding amps to the components. For a sub, the best thing to do is add a parasite RCA to the pre-amp wire at the back speakers. I would also recommend hooking up a ground-loop filter once you do that just in case, but before getting the ground loop, just test it out without it and see how it sounds. If you get noise, then you'll need it, if not, then thats all good, and your set.

just use a line to rca converter for the signal from the rears and run the rest of the wires as you would in an aftermarket stereo. Power, ground, and the remote on/off wire for the amp. hook up rca's from the amp to the converter, and outputs of the amp to the sub. If the amp is bridgebale, bridge it to get more power to push your sound.
