Any tips on adding a sub to Symphony headunit?

Any tips on adding a sub to Symphony headunit?
I'm looking to put in a 300 watt amp and 12" sub from my old installation. Before I tackle this job, I was wondering if I could get some input from you guys that's not listed in the FAQs.
I've read that alot of ppl run the cabling down the center console over the hump to the trunk. Will this cause alot of interference or should I separate power and speaker wiring and run them down opposite sides of the car?
Since the Symphony headunit lacks RCA outs, what other connectors do I need? I don't have to splice wires together will I?
Lastly, anybody have pictures of their setup with aftermarket subwoofer/amp integration with the stock Bose/Symphony system?

I didn't use the stock head unit so I won't address any of your questions on which connectors you will need, but I will tell you that you should keep your power cables separated from your speaker and signal cables.
Most people, including myself, run the power down the drivers side, signal (RCA's) down the center, and speaker down the passenger side.
