Default What head-unit should I buy to replace my Gamma?

The cd changer and transciever got stolen out of the trunk of my '95 A6 (C4). Finding an OEM replacement is near to impossible not to mention the wirining harness in the trunk is cut to bits. So, I figure I'll just replace my Bose Gamma head-unit with some new technology, preferrably something that will play MP3 and have an iPod interface. However, I want to retain the black bezel/red lighting look. I would appreciate any advice on head-units to look at and installation issues to expect.

Thanks.

I bought an Alpine CDA 9847 R. You can change the illumination colours to red. Order with an ipod interface and stow the interface and ipod in the glove box, just connect the cable through the gap to the dash. Get an autoleads harness and if you have BOSE look for an installation tip I found and posted on the forum a couple of days ago. When you connect, swap the red and yellow wires as Audi ignition and permanent live are different to ISO standards. Buy a dash adaptor for a neat DIN fit. easy and better than stock radio.
