Which headunit?
I've been debating this for a while, and narrowed it down to three choices.
<b>Kenwood Z919</b>
This one i think may serve me best (I listen to a lot of mp3s, but I'm not sure about the quality:

<b>Eclipse 55040</b>
I think this one will sound the best. It has by far the best specs and a much higher output voltage that the other two:

<b>Clarion DRX9675z</b>
Very nice, best graphics, and I like the way it looks. Considering similar units from pioneer, I like this one better:

I will suggest Premier DEH-P720. best overall deck in my opinion.
Eclipse 55040 sounds great and thats what i am using, but it's style is not everyone's cup of tea. Nakamichi CD-700 looks awesome and sounds great, but just too expensive. Kenwood MP3 player has no security feature at all, not faceremovable no MASK and no password protection.I dont think i will want something that will get stolen after the 1st month. Clarions doesnt give me any appeal. The Premier P720 doesnt sound the best, but it sounds clean and good. It doesnt look the best, but the half OEL display and the easy to use controls never fails to amaze you. And the 2yr warranty is much better compare to most other brands.

ECLIPSE!
Looks, quality, features, ease of use, sound, and rotary volume control make the Eclipse your best bet, IMO. Pioneer and such will woo you with wizbang features that look cool, but the Eclipse has what is important!

I have the kenwood and it's great
It works great and it looks fantastic in action. I picked it up in May in Japan and installed it in my wife's Honda CRV. She loves having 150 songs on one CDR and honestly the sound quality is pretty good, unless maybe your ears are way too fine tuned. =)

For the money, Eclipse is THE best buy, hands down.
Being a big car audio buff, i started out my system (a few years ago) with an eclipse head unit and disc changer. Unbeleivable performance for the price- great sound quality and rock solid laser tracking. Hands down the best buy for the buck.
