Headunit install question?

Headunit install question?

I've been told that I will have pay extra to have my head unit installed because in Audi's you have to re-wire the rear speakers.

Is that true of am I being BSed????

In '02+, the rears are powered by an amp in the trunk, so in a sense, yes they do

Yes in a 98 they are self amplified and do require a re-wire. I'm getting my head unit and rear speakers in this week and require the same install. I was quoted a price of about $85.00. Make sure you go somewhere eith Audi experience.
