input voltage range question for adding amp to Bose
I am adding a mono Alpine amp and subs to the stock bose amp and am using a Stinger line-level converter from the rear deck woofer speaker wires. There is a switch on my Alpine amp for input voltage range. One range is 0.1 to 1 volt, and the other is 1 to 8 volts. My question is which one to use. Do I use the higher range because I am using a speaker to line level converter, or do I use the lower voltage range switch? Does it matter? TIA

yes it matters
the stinger converter will drop the output voltage from the bose amp to something your amp can use you will probably find that the 1-8v scale is approprite then adjust the gain so that you are getting maximum clean bass at top volume
