Installing a Backup Sensor
Hi,
I'm trying to install one of these in my '01 A4 1.8T:

It hooks into the reverse wire so it knows to turn on when you're backing up. Then it beeps when you get too close to the next car.
Has anyone installed a device like this? Where can I find the reverse wire in the trunk? Also, is there any way to get the wiring from the device into the trunk without drilling?

You should be able to grab the reverse wire from the tail lights (test which wire has 12volts when in reverse). You shouldn't have to drill through the body just find a crommet and run the wire there.
