Noob pulls the trigger
Hello folks. I finally pulled the trigger and bought a subwoofer for my 99 Audi A6 with Bose. I got tired of the lack of lows and highs, and so started with this step.
I got a MTX81244A DVC $200, Sealed MDF Box $60.

I was thinking of getting Rockford Fosgate 200S amp for $180. The amp wired to the DVC in parallel would be good for 200Watts. I prefer SQ to SPL. My local store has limited brands, so this is what I chose. Am I overpaying?
I plan to install the kit by myself. What would I need to get a line level input from my stereo(its got Bose with the sub in the back)?
I would appreciate any and all opinions and recommendations.

I personally don't like MTX subs . . . at all. I like their amps, but their subs just sound too muddy to me. But if you liked it, then that is all that matters.
Ebay price is 120-130 each, so if you are getting a warranty for 200 that's decent.
I would give that sub more than 200 watts. Its rms rating is 400 watts so I would do around 300 or more.
A cheap amp that would be perfect is a JBL 300.1. WIred in parallel would give you 300 watts. The amp is a little underrated so it should do closer to 350ish. Plus it is dirt cheap on ebay.
