please help
well, i went to the store today, the guy benched a McIntosh amp that i bought on ebay for me (just wanted to make sure i didnt get shafted). i was talking to him and told him that i can get mb-quart q-series 5.25 for like $550 on the web, he said that mb-quart dosnt authorize any sales on the net, is this true?? also, will the front adapters fit into the door of a 2001?????

It is true, some manufacturers do not authorize web sales and they claim it is a tipoff that the product is not genuine. It is very hard to "police" this activity and there are a lot of unauthorized resellers that will not cover factory warranty, but hey what the hell, I bought tons of electronics over the net and it is a rareity that they are foul in some manner. And if you make sure to get factory sealed boxes just send in the warranty card with an authorized dealer's name, they never check anyway.

100% true.. in fact...
LOTS of the high end brands don't authorize sales on the web, however many UNAUTHORIZED dealers still manage to get their hands on the products and sell them online... hence... the "Grey Market"
You can really get some good deals at some of these places, however buyer beware.... incase somethings goes wrong, you might not get warranty coverage.
