Default easy!

For about 30 cents you can buy a plastic splicing connector. It's got a back side and a front side that folds over it and snaps in. In the middle of it is a piece of metal that splice sinto 2 bare wires. It has 2 chambers. 1 chamber slides onto the existing speaker wire, the 2nd chamber you slide the ne wwire into, then clamp it down.

Go to home depot and ask about it, they will know what you want.

Default Don't know what you're asking about

But if it's "do these things work", I have had poor luck with them. Much better to strip wires, connect, solder the connection, and cover with shrink-wrap insulation (also available at Radio Sh*t or any hardware store).

My opinion.

Default Thanks! Can I just solder the new wires directly to the speaker terminals? ...

instead of having to strip the existing speaker wires?

Default Just go easy with the soldering iron power

You use the big Weller guns that look like power drills and the small wires for the speaker magnet could be broken. Use about a 30 watt soldering iron and you should be fine.
