Scrub-A-Dub Opinions
I get my Q5 run through the express wash about twice a month here because it's cheap and quick. Yes, I know the wash causes fine scratches, but nothing a yearly polish can't get out. Today I decided get a quick shine wax since the weather is getting too cold for me to hand wax it myself. I noticed the kid using the orbital polisher use back and forth motions rather than circular motions. I was nervous that he was going to burn the clear coat each time he paused for a split second to change directions, but he was moving the polisher fast enough to not damage the paint. So I don't think he did any damage - just a crappy job. But what can I expect for $60 ($20 wash, $40 wax)? A hand wash/wax in my area goes for around $120 if it's done by an independent shop.
I would love to get my car hand washed every 2 weeks, but 1) it's too expensive and 2) too time consuming
Anyway, I was wondering what other members had to say about their experience here.
