shift boot.....

what do you guys used to get it clean? the leather has some stuff on it and since its black it really stands out, i think its chocolate or something. just wanted to know what you guys used. i have tried leather cleaner that i use on my seats but it hasnt helped much.

I periodically remove the center boot trim and boot- - - ->

Since the design of the stock shift boot, as you know, collects tons of debris.

I then turn it inside out so I can slip my hand into the boot and clean and feed.

I use Zymol Leather treatment. If it needs to be cleaned I use the Lexol cleaner and conditioner.

Once I'm done I take a few minutes to clean any 'over-spray' from the wood trim using Plexus or for my wifes A4 I use Harley Poly Guard on the plastic surround..

I do the same on the A6 tip, and need to do it on my "new" A8. Nylon trim sticks are cheap, and necessary for this operation. I got mine from a cellular place that also sells DIN radio tools.
